So here is the scoop,
I have a 68 BSA Royal Star bobber project on the go at the moment. The bike came with a springer front end. The neck had been adjusted to a longer rake, and the springer is way too long. I want to maintain the rake, but shorten the length of the springer. What are my options?
New shorter springer front end?
Find stock replacement front end?
???
Any words of wisdom?

I'm sure what you have could be cut and welded by a pro. If buying another springer of correct length is an option then that might be a good one. A stock front end with the rake you have in the neck will make the front end of the frame sit very low, and it would probably look pretty bad to most.
