Hey guy, I just reassmebled my transmission and looked at the manual and wes's video but the problem is that after assmebling the gear cluster, sprocket and inner gear box cover I am only grabbing three gears. When I use my screwdriver to move the selector mechanism it wont grab 4th gear??(the selector pushed all the way up.) I kept the selector centered like described when I installed it. Any advice?

I'm not sure how Wes's video says to do it but sometimes it's easier to index the shift cam plate in 4th gear.
some books say to index it in-between 2nd and neutral, some say 4th gear.

The only thing different is that you probably have the good plunger instead of the leaf spring....

Thanks for the inpit guys. After calming myself down I pulled the cover off again, cleaned up the yamabond, and gave it another shot. I carefully reassembled it again like the manual outlines and had success.

For anyone having difficulty with this I noticed that it helps to ever so slightly jiggle the indexing arm as you are sliding the cover onto the case. Doing so gave me a good feel for how the gears were meshing.
