Painted head and rocker covers on a Triumph never look right to me. In my humble opinion, a long stretched out girder, especially on a 500 looks akward at best.

I'm sure you have quite a bit of time/money wrapped up in the thing, so if it's your idea of cool, run the fucker and enjoy it. At least it isn't flat black with red rims.

Hey, mine is in boxes or scattered all over southern california garages/machine shops right now, so who am I to talk shit?

The painted bush was one of the reasons I bought it. I too think the engine will look better with a natural finish. I think in a few more hours the rest of the paint will remove itself, as it only has ran about 15 minutes. All of the paint was done years ago, and the bike has been in a box for about five years. I have had it for about 3 months, and put about 1500$ bucks into it. Thanks for the opinion.

i'm building a raked and stretched Ironhead, with a shiny chrome swingarm (straight outta the 70's) and a set of progressive shocks!
