anyone know how much difference there is in these 35mm tubes? I know the CB750 used 35mm tubes .

Very likely that there are internal differences in either thread or snap-ring grooves. Possibly even diameter.

However, you could swap the entire front end over, though you may need to make a special front axle, or other adaptation.

Forking by Frank (Evanston, IL) can set you up with tubes for either, in case that was the reason for asking.

Internal is irrelevant in some cases top tree could be an issue and axle width,, More concerned with how off the OD's are

I've never measured them, but they were both made in Japan by Showa, so I'd guess they're both the same OD.

Isn't 35mm always the same? Of course the HD's are tapered at the top so you can't run CB forks in a HD top tree without boring it out. I think if you did the reverse the tubes wouldn't be snug up top.
