IS there a difference in these and the pre- 1970's cups ? I ask as the older ones were for 7/8" stem and the 76 is 15/16 ...or is it just a REAL close fit ?

74 and back, used roller balls and cups, they were 7/8ths. 75 and later, used timkens with matching races. 15/16ths is close.

another quick question is the inside of the stem where the cup goes in 1 5/16" ?
