Did you race? Tell us about it.
I raced a 1970 Bultaco Matador stripped of lights and speedo in the 250 novice class. I fitted an ISDT exhaust for the event. Notice the speedo cable taped to the front fender.
There were 637 in the class. 370 finished. I finished 218th Fell down once in a dirt/pavement transition.
The near 10 mile course was a good mix of city pavement, fire road and sand wash.
I have an event program and results list.

I have never had the riding skills, intestinal fortitude, or the competitive nature required to be a successful racer. I' m more of a pit crew mechanic, but I admire people who have the gift.

Goldy,,,,,, I've been looking for that "gift" all my life. It seems to always be just around the next curve or on the other side of a mud bog. My 2 man pit crew sure enjoyed their "gift" though. Coors Golden Banquet!
