1968 BSA Royal Star A50 old chopper project.
500cc Twin, single carb
Dry storage since late 70's
Original frame was bobbed, chopped by previous owner. Custom bars, Bates headlight and seat, lengthened swing arm. Also have a weld on hardtail available.
The bike has not been run in years, but kicks over easily with compression.
(The late) George Helm, Royal Enfield,Triumph, BSA/British cycle guru of Pease, MN rebuilt the top end, and other engine work on this bike not long before it was tucked away by the person I bought it from.
George Helm was a legend in these parts with a lot of people. He sold and worked on British bikes, and operated Helms Speedway (flat track) in the 70's. Clean title and numbers match.
