Since my 1949 Panhead is on a hold for the moment i turned to the 62 Panhead insted. Have allot of mixed 1955-1967 chassieparts so getting this together isent that hard, but since I got several tanks, swings, fenders and springs, then it's the should I take or that or that issue. The color, Black as always or a Red with white fields? Greazy Black or a Crome swing? Rock hard seat or a orginal pogo? 16" wheels or a 16" and 21" and so on.<O:p</O:p
The oiltank with that giant battery will go, it was on the chassie when I got it(he must had a giantstarter and electrical ignition) and rear discwheel , that front end, to bling for me.<O:p</O:p

Not another black Harley...

My very first Harley was black, actually I painted it !

But I'm a big fan of non-black frames. I know it's easier and hides alot, but if you building from ground up with a bare frame, rock some color !

And nothings wrong with a chrome swingarm

If you go white, look into a pearl white. I painted a frame Caddy white pearl, and it looked sweet on the round tubes of the frame. Real reflective But then you gotta go with a metalflake tank !

After striping some more of the chassie i decided i will build a driver. So no paint of the frame so black it is. That goodlooking seat will be alittle hard for long rides, so a pogo will be the option right now. Allso it is really low, and since my Softail is that low and i dont wanna take real turns to the right with it, so i will dumps those low springs.
So right now my plan is that in 2-3 weeks it will be on the road:)

i dig it, & i agree with the front end being to bright, a traditional glide with nacelle is right for the flow...Nice !!!

Had alittle time today to do some work today. Had a "discuss" about conventional distributor and Mag with a Harley nerd today, im for distributer and he was being an ass about Mags, i have two dist at home i dont see why i should buy a Mag for $1500, back and forth on and on with this look at my fat wallet, im still gonna use a distributer:)

After that negative start of the day it was wheeltime, the rearwheel came out nice after hardcore cleaning(it was greezy as hell) the front wheel has a whitewall tire so i have to change it cause one black and one whitewall doent look that good, and i have a 21" black avon. Hope to get some biketime tomorrow cause now i getting the tempo;)

Did try out the exhaust to. That rear wheel turned really great after that cleaning.

Thanks.
Took half the day off cause i got help of an old Harley dude, so it got really productive. First of was in with the motor, once it was mounted and the old guy got going there was no stop. I mounted the inner tin, then the exhaust some elctrical. Before i even saw how he had done it, the clutch was in place and i was "hey i wanted to learn that" he just said you have more to build so you can learn on then and pointed at my 1949 Panhead. After the most productive 3h in my bikelife he went home and i did all the electrical and everything lighted up but then the sound, of the switz fast, it have some bad connection or i missplaced some cable:( So tomorrow is going throu all the electrical stuff and hopfully the time for the first kick...:)
