Default 21" mini drum stay arm mount location?

Ok, I have searched on here, I have searched on Google, I have tried in vain to find pictures. What I need to know is where everyone is mounting the stay arm to the forks. Do you use the fender mounts? From what I've seen, I don't see those mounts being used. Pictures would help. I know there are a ton of these out there. Post a picture if you've got any. Thanks in advance.

Not sure if these will help. Not great pics. This is how my mini is linked to my springer. It is like a machined clamp link.

Thanks. The pics help, but I am using one on a narrow glide front. I'm thinking I will have to use the disc brake bracket somehow or fab some kind of bracket.

Hey mon,
A few things to keep in mind . . 1) keep your brake stay parallel with the fork rocker, 2) attach the stay to the "rigid" (rear) fork leg, 3) make sure both ends of the stay are free to pivot, 4) must be something else . . . ?

Well I'll look for pics again. Again this is not for a springer front end. It's for a narrow glide FX style forks.

Well, this wasn't about mounting it on a springer, but since you brought it up, there is something else. The brake plate must float on a springer installation.

What I've got is one of those 21" mini drum brake wheels from Lowbrow Customs. I am trying to figure out the brake stay. I still have my threaded mounting area where the disc brake used to be on my forks. Fender tabs are gone. I think I can use the disc brake mounting bracket to get my stay or at least those threaded mounting holes. I'll be able to work on it a little tomorrow and try and figure out a bracket. Now I can't figure out how to even hook up the cable. This setup doesn't have the typical style barrel through the arm and a nut to tighten it. It has just a single arm with some funky clamp and adjuster. I must be missing something or am over thinking this. I wish they or whoever manufactures these would at least put some sort of directions with it. That's kind of why I am looking for ideas. I know there are guys out there using them and I have tried to find pictures or info. everywhere. There is nothing out there.

Here's what I've got. I am looking for anyone who has used this. Has pictures, or whatever. I doesn't matter what kind of bike. I'm just looking to see how it is set up. Thanks.

One more picture. No too worried about the stay bar now. What about the funky hardware. Any users out there. I think several companies carry these rims and kits. Several are on Ebay. I bought from Lowbrow.

No big deal man. I can figure it out. Just wanted to see what others were doing. As they say, It never hurts to ask. I was trying to get some insight as to how others were running theirs to see what works and what doesn't. I'll throw some pics up tomorrow.

Hey mon,
I've set up a couple of them mini brakes and I know you can do it without any problems. I don't have any pics, but I'll try to explain. You can fab a bracket that will bolt up to the existing brake mount on your lower fork slider, which in turn, will be your mounting point for the brake stay. As far as attaching the brake cable goes, there is (should be) a mount on the brake backing plate that will accept the ferrule on the outer jacket of the cable. To attach the wire cable to the brake arm, I usually used one of the universal type attachments from a supplier like Barnett. It will attach with a clevis and loop arrangement to the brake arm. If you fasten your cable in this fashion you do not need a "factory" end on the end of the cable where it attaches to your brake arm, the clevis and loop setup eliminates the need for a crimped or soldered end. I hope this makes things a little clearer for you. In my first post I mistakenly thought you were working with a springer front end, sorry amigo.
