Default My '03 sporty (slow build)

Here is the '03 sporty that Ive been working on (I should be anyway). I bought this bike & quickly tore it into a million pieces. I wanted the feel of a hardtail but my back didnt. I cut the frame up close to 2 years ago & am finally working on it again. 1" stretch in the swingarm, 2" added to the backbone & axed those ugly stock downtubes. Here's a picture dump for you...

Cut & finned the cam cover...

Did you weld those on and sand the bead?

I looked at this dude's finned cam cover but no more details and the thread was 3 years old.

nice looking project , love the fact your recycling some factory parts and putting your own twist to them rather then throwing them in the can .
