Default Tech tip. Weld a bracket and save paint.

to protect as much paint or powder from being burned away. Get a tube of tooth paste, apply 1/2" away from weld area and that will do it. Also, if you get the mint if makes the shop smell good. I used the heat sink paste for years and one day ran out. Tried the tooth paste and that is all I have used since. Lot cheaper also.

If this works as well as you say it does, that ROCKS!

how many other things did you try before figuring out the toothpaste. Seems kinda like a shot in the wind. But thanx for the tip.

the toothpaste was a no-brainer for Brew. If you notice, he always looks his best. Keeping a supply of toothpaste on hand at all times insures it! Thanks for the tip, Brewdude.

Good tip Steve! I assume cleanup is easier than with the heat sink stuff?

When I was a kid the Group Home kids would lay a bead of toothpaste out on the window sill until it dried. Then they'd smoke it...
