A friend of mine bought a special construction motorcycle but nobody here in the armpit of Calif. can tell him what motor he has . Can anyone tell me if DJLN000000 is a harley or aftermarket engine? thanks ahead for any info

Its not a Harley number. Aftermarket cases? State assigned number maybe. Pics of the number would help.

what type of motor is it???....knucklehead,Panhead,shovelhead,flathead?? ? anything newer ain't a harley so could be anything!!!

It`s licensed as a 1994. I haven`t seen the motor. I`ll take some pictures of it next week. He did say there was a star before and after the ten digit number. He told me it had a revtec transmission but he doesnt know what a Shovel is. The numbers are on on the right side.

looks like a crank case breather Evo... 84-93 you can take that motor number into a dealer and they can tell you more....

Don't think it's a Harley engine number pad should be centered on an evo.

harley did that on some years....
In that location.... If it was a crate motor then it wont show on Bike registry... you will need to go to the dealer for them to verify the number... A close up shot would help as H-D has distinctive numbers on there motors that differences, depending on the time period... Roach.

My S&S shovel cases have the S&S serial number at that location.(below rear jug primary side)
