I once cut a set of 8"z bars down to 3". just cut out 5" of the upright found a piece of tubing that had the same exterior dimension as the bars interior dimension to shove in there to splint them . after all the welding is done grind it out and finish up with some emery cloth. and if your going to the chrome shop for your sissy bar do them both..

Tryin' to keep the cost down the more I need to have Chromed the more it is goin' to cost me. Is it cheaper to do the work and have it chromed or buy a new set and possibly get some dough for the set I have now??? These are the questions??? The Cycle Swap in LBC is this weekend and I'm thinking it is time to go again.

Ps got the rear blinkers in the mail last night and I LOVE THEM. They are itty bitty little LED Chrome bullets...

Yeah I don't plan on painting her for a while. Until I know how to ride it ha and to be sure the tank doesn't leak etc etc...I'm over this shit. It's on. Mike and I had that conversation last night before dinner.

I will be at the swap meet in LB on Sunday with two sets of bars if someone wants to trade. I'll have a bunch of other crap with me to. Watch for me if any of you go. I will be pulling a giant wagon-o-parts with one of my best friends Marky, he's the one with e 19inch neck.

I'd love to meet som eof you all in person.

I want Z bars just like the ones I have just 6 or 8 inch opposed to the 10in I have now. The 10s are a bit of a stretch for me. I think I will be better off with shorter bars.

I finally broke down and ordered exactly what I wanted online. I bought a set of bars exactly like the ones I have just two inches shorter.

I wandered the swap meet on Sunday but did not have much luck. I'm getting so close. I can't barely take it any more. I say one more month.

Well that's cool, all I could track down here was a short set and I figured those would be to short.

So we tore her all apart over the weekend, but it's the last time. I know it had to be done but the last time hurts. It looked so complete, and it was but....

Now that everyhting is all mocked up and everything has it's place it was time to take her apart and clean up the frame. We even flipped her over (that was hard to watch) just seemed wrong like petting a cats fur in the wrong direction.

Anyhoo going to paint the frame and finish her off. I am so excited. I will post pictures later.

God I wish, but I just don't see it happening that fast. I'm hoping for the end of this month.
