I know the stereotypical "bobber" started with stripping down bikes for function, to go faster. Then the "chopper" came around for form. If the chopper era built for a "fashion show" never came about, sites like this and the bike shows out there gravitating to the "old ways" with a new twist wouldn't have occurred. Where would we be if those willing to take a chance to do something different hadn't? Im guessing thats more political that than rhetorical.

Tom got third in the show. But they are still paying for him and his bike to go to Mooneyes in Japan. I think that's awesome.

Thanks for the pics. That triumph trike is really cool. What kind of motor is in that blue JD type bike? Can't really see what the lower end looks like.

It was there. Jeff Decker had some pics in his ig feed. I didn't see it much really anywhere else. I think that thing is awesome. But something tells me it might go a little under appreciated with a lot of the "chopper" crowd.

I have plenty of pictures I am going through right now. I was not feeling that great yesterday, and seemed like every time I went to snap a picture someone stood in front of me. Was a good crowd, though.
I never even made it outside the grass area to check out those bikes. Saw some nice ones out there, too. |

Yeah the Chief or the Trike would have been my pick as a raffle winner and would probably would have to have flipped a coin to pick between the two.
Great pics and absolutely outstanding bikes this year, everyone just stepped it up so high. Did Jesse James come through with an entry in the end? |

Thanks for the bigger pic of the blue jd type bike. It is interesting. The rear frame looks to be JD with a JD or VL tranny and has a double down tube front. Lower end looks flathead, 45? maybe VL or UL? Thanks again!!!

Does anyone know who built the all black bike with the squarish mini-fairing and super narrow t-bars? Its in the pics above below the Chief (which is my favorite by the way). I'd like to see if I can find some more pics of that bike. Thanks. |

The invited builders voted on each other's bikes to determine the winners.
