Hi all again...
so.. been a 4 month secret. Bought this 51 Pan in October and only just landed in the UK this weekend gone. I don't think I have stopped smiling since..hahaha 1951 Survivor chop, all matching cases, quite a cool history to it. I even have photos of when she was dragged out of a barn.. she came inside a van and was pretty covered in dust and salt from the journey over the atlantic, but after a quick wipe she's shining again! Joining my 68 genny and 76 cone in the garage. Can anyone identify the springers? there's a number underneath... thanks! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Very nice JP. But imho that bike needs drag pipes with shorty muffs. That's just me though. Everything else is just wonderful.
Jaws cannot comment. He had a stroke from Long Bike Overload.......

Oh yes, JAWS has already commented on Sunday on my instagram feed.
I have never had a long bike, and this one being a too good deal not to miss, I gave it a go. It appeals to me being different from others. Due to the history on it I'm not touching anyting in regards to paint, frame or tank. But do plan to change the exhaust to fishtail ends, change the handlebars and probably suspension. Not too sure about the invaders yet, would like to try spoke wheels on her, 16 and 21. sissy bar will probably be changed for something taller with a K&Q.... Fancied something different from my 76 cone, and this just does it perfectly being so different. If I don't get along with her, I'll just sell her on...

Once you go pan you never need another man.. Wait.. that's not right? Welcome to club panhead. Long is fun! I agree about the pipes and bars.. but your prerogative and easy to change!

Awesome. Ignore those guys, the pipes are spot on. Especially if you like girls with thigh high boots.

thigh high boots and burnt bum! ahaha you seen where they end?
on another note... she just started! thougth would be a pain but no, few prime kicks, then tried to start she didn't want to, but when I fully retarted, she fired up first kick. put a video up on my instagram account. so so happy!! only thing not working is rear brake light and neutral light..

Just have to insert the embed code. Not too difficult.

The garage is alive with the sound of music...!!!
I freakin love this bike!!! You all knew that though from what I read. No surprise then? Ok. Details on the first ride experience. You know what they say..Once you go long, you never..... um I guess shorten it.

From pushing her about I reckon the geometry is pretty good, she doesnt flop suddenly to either side...
No front brake and suicide clutch I must confess it gets me worried as out of my house is a not a straight road, I have 4 junction with turns to left and right till I hit the first straight... so a lot of potential for things to go wrong. What I'm planning on doing is, I have a second brake pedal, I'm going to drill it out and make a bracket out the foot peg mounting point, kind of a lever that will be attached to the rear brake pedal and a cable that the other end will be on a hand brake lever. So basically I'll be able to hold the bike on the rear brake, using my right hand.... just a little safety net. I kind of have it drawn on my head, need to put it in paper. I don't think I'll be able to use the hand brake to fully brake, but only just to stop in the last moment (in case I can't find neutral and need to stay in gear with foot clutch in) Not having front brake doesn't worry me too much as my 76 cone doesn't have one either and I been riding that like it for the last 4 years or so.

Practice with it as is. Lets look at that clutch link setup.
