Default Handlebar options (springer)

I’ve frequented a few motorcycle forums long enough to know better. I hate to start a thread about handlebars. Unfortunately, my own searches have come up short.

I recently replaced the stock front end on my 78 FLH with a 3 over Paughco springer. My top clamp has ears and I have 5” dog bones. For the time being, I’m running a set of leftover stock bars off my 06 fatboy. I don’t want to keep them on any longer than I have to.

Long story short - what are my options as far as bars go? My risers are 8.5” wide. Am I limited to drag bars? Any photos of similar setups? Thanks

There's a few options, from home made adaptors (like I've done)
to clamps with welded on handlebars.

I assume you want the bottom width to be smaller right?
have a look at crow customs, they do a clamp that allows to then weld on the handlebars you want.

or a simpler and cheaper adaptor is the one that puts yours riders at the standard 3.5" distance apart.

Actually I’m trying to find something to fit what I have. I like the look of the risers. It’s just hard to find bars with at least 8.5” center width.

ah I see what you mean now.

custom made bars.
I bend my own. But there's plenty of guys out there in the US making bars to your specs. from what I see they are about 120 dollars, stainless steel.
