The "finished" bike....

whizzerick
Yes, i can understand why...
but remember the WW2 allied bombers where the pinup noseart is based on.

At this time te bike got some new parts wich are my own interpretation for a Bomber/Bobber. Pictures soon...

Any comment, suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks

Paco
I'm sorry, maybe i write it bad, or simply dont understand you...
but "Bobber" is the style of the bike, but maybe i dont know what bobber really is... and "bomber" is the theme.

Can you, or anyone brief me on the correct bobber style concept?

Thanks.

The test ride...

After i bought it, i did this to her...

...now is doing the seat; shortening the jockey and the pipes; removing the sissi; powder coating the handlebar, rear wheel and some other parts.

How dependable is that sight glass on the tank? I'm sure it works good for knowing how much gass you got, seems like a little plastic tube like that would leak pretty quick.

good work, looks like a very solid bike. your painter misspelled harley davidson though. from the pics it appears to be davidsan? on a script "o" the little curly is on top.

Well that depends on the font design...

...and i clearly see difference in the "a" and "o" from "Davidson"!

So, no misspell here...
in the Worst-case scenario is just different font design than usual.

Do you have any detail photos showing your front brake master cylinder, guessing it's remote? And can you show how the lines run?
Thanks

i really like what you did with this sporty.
nice clean work and good build photos as well.
good to see people around the world that seem to 'get it' more than most of the kooks and fake 'bad boyz' here in the states.

That is a beautiful bike. I love that fat front end. Good work improving on an already nice looking bike. Now post some pics with your girlfriend adorning it, it's always nice to see tasty treats from around the world.

I like it, but I’m partial to springers anyway. I like the way it looks now; you did a good job.
The jockey shift without the foot clutch has given me lots of ideas too.
I have a few question about the differential brakes if you don’t mind, I’ve never seen that on a street bike,
Is this diff system garage built or a manufactured system? Do you know the ratios front to back?
Thanks for posting the build from the start to what it is today.

Its kind of a garage built... basically is the two brake lines coming out of the foot servo... and no, there is no ratios.

Ken Drake mailed me for the frame details, so here it is...

The frame is a Paughco that has 21/2" of front "leg stretch" and 40 degrees of rake.

But because we only needed the leg stretch we "de-raked" it to 31,5 degrees.

Looks awesome. That's funny, this whole time, I've been thinking I would just change two things: chain conversion and the exhaust. You already did one! With the exhaust, I like the staggered pipes like you have. I would cut the bottom pipe back until it's even with the axle. Cut back the top pipe the same amount. Again, the bike looks great man. Job well done!

looks great man. all changes for the better. Especially the strut taken off the springer looks so much better with out it. I dont think I'd like havin' the brakes tied in together though. Do you notice any disadvantages of the brake set up? (braking in turns etc.)

Well, I dont usually brake wile cornering... but when I do, it's well balanced.

The only time I'm in trouble is in traffic... up hill stops and when I have a passenger along that tends to unbalance the bike for the right side where my foot is braking. hahaha

Apart from that, it's ok.

Before 40º rake...

Matching the wheelbase...

Checking fitment with fork...

Having fun...

Checking new rake of 31,5º...

Fitted in frame jig...

Welded in frame jig...

The name "Suicide" has a theme context, has also explained before.

duffy
What coil are you referring to!?

reverb
#1 - The fender is reinforced with a 2" x 1/8" thick bar lengthwise, and crosswise in the rear strut area. That's how it is strong enough to hold a passenger.

#2 - Yes! it serves as a tandem MC for both front and rear brake callipers

#3 - It is a stock length evo springer from Harley. The rockers were however modified. The same could be accomplished with the purchase of a set of aftermarket lowering rockers for an evo springer, the difference being these were the originals (in steel - aftermarket are aluminium) machined/welded/re-bored to lower them. Basically there was no money to purchase the lowered ones, so I invented a way to make the fork lower with the stock parts... the final length from end to end after lowering, I don't know for sure, but if that is important, I'll measure it for you.

It was used for not just looks, but also because along with the dyna"S" ignition system (and centrifugal advance unit) it made for a compact and electrically simple system to install with minimum wiring.
