Default Triumph Question

I am totally ignorant on triumphs, have never owned one, I am looking at maybe buying a roller project. It is a Trident T-150 front loop with a hardtail section, stock tank, plus front end, Triumph rear hub laced to a 16 in. Harley rim. My main question is will a 650/750 Bonnie or Tiger motor- trans unit, fit in this loop without a major modification? Or should I just move on to another project? Looking for wisdom here guys, I really like the looks of this roller. You guys got me hooked on these Triumphs bad. Thanks Mick

Cool Re: Triumph Question

I have no doubt that a 650/750 twin engine will fit into that frame. From what I understand is that the Triple frames are basically widened twin frames to accommodate the Triple engine. I imagine you will have to fab some mounts but can't see why it wouldn't work.

This guy claims the stock twin mounts will work with spacers.

In my very humble opinion, go for the TR6/Tiger. One less carb, no syncing of carbs, and if we are all honest, the T120 doesn't make any more noticeable power.
