Default I Think Mr. Pete Passed

Pretty sure he was Pete R. over on the britbike board. He hasn't posted here for a while. Never flashy or rude, post after post of accurate useful info for those of us working on Triumphs. He was one of the reasons I always check the JJ.

If it's true That's really sad , he was extraordinarily knowledgeable both in the theoretical and the practical aspects of British bikes in particular.I always appreciated his input ,and found that his answers were presented in a factual humble way .He shall be missed, and as we would say here in Aussieland he was fair dinkum !
Regards
Rene

Bummer! Rest in Peace Pete! Although I am a new member here, I have read his replies/Help many many times over the years here and other forums as I lurk around, searching for Triumph answers, He will be missed. Craig

Sad thing about it, there will probably won't be a young guy to take his place. You young men out there, I wish you will prove me wrong, start working on your own bikes and bringing new ideas. Find the old iron and bring it back to life, you will be amazed at the satisfaction you will get doing it and riding them when your done. Mick

Seemed like a real straight arrow to me : very helpful, clear explanations, just wanted to pass knowledge on.

Respect.

I would think Pete was the kind of guy who might want an Irish wake...Telling stories of his deeds and singing songs of battles and women won...See you later Pete....

I didn't know it had been that long, now it seems like old news. But I didn't want his passing to go uncommented upon here.

I haven't been on this site (or any site for that matter) for awhile and I see this. Mr. Pete was a real attribute to JJ. His posts contained nothing but the real facts. No bullshit or wacky opinions, just the facts. I always paid close attention to what he had to say.
