Default Rear Brake Update

The drum brake wasn't confidence inspiring, so i changed it over to a disc. Makes all the difference. Bought the brake setup from Fab Kevin. First class stuff as usual.

Great minds think alike. I guess I didn't learn my lesson the first time. I picked up this 76 FXE with a title for a very reasonable price. More to come on this down the road.

Now that I am buried in 16 inches of snow I was reminiscing about nice weather while at the Oily Souls 3 bike show this past August in Detroit.

I rode the bike to downtown Detroit to check out the show. I had wanted to get to this show for a couple of years. This was the 3rd year for it.

Got there a bit early. It's a Saturday show and opens at 5pm and runs to midnight. The invited bikes are inside this cool old ladder company firehouse.

I parked up front and center outside and waited for things to get hopping.

The inside bikes were all great and the crowd got pretty thick.

A lot of the action was outside. We were told it would be a "burnout friendly environment" and they were right. Not a cop to be seen all night.

Well the rest of the story is my bike was selected as Best of Show for Ride In. You could have knocked me over with a feather. Not in a million years would I have expected that.

This cool award was penned by a Harley Davidson graphic artist.
