Default triumph 1970 650 timing side bearing

Can not get the bearing out of the case,lots of heat and some tapping from the other end.Can you over heat the case using the green propane bottle torch?This one is being a pain!

Easiest way to do this is to bake the case half in the oven. Obviously not while your wife is home. Seriously, though, you need to heat the entire case half evenly, so maybe outside on the BBQ grill? I used an old electric oven that was in a motorcycle shop specifically for this purpose.
