Yes, I am physically removing material. I Cut an outline and then move around that outline pushing the material in towards the center. I posted a few progress pics that show this. I use a hammer and chisel from Lindsay Engraving, they are a great resource for tuff to find info and tools.

I saw this very cool 1935HD, this summer at the Cheaters car show (Cheaterama) in Milwaukee at the Nite Owl restaurant. It’s one of the best shows around.
The drawing is 20”x20” pencil on board.
