Got my bike done this winter, new Cole Foster tank that I love, only prob. is the pop up flush mount gas cap has broken already. I can still put gas in which is good but it's in two pieces which is bad. Any one know where to get that cap? Custom Chrome makes the tank for Cole and they don't sell the cap by itself.

Yup,been there!!! Mine broke a couple days after I installed my tank. They are DIFFERENT then the normal pop-ups, the lid is thinner so the others will stick up about a 1/4" above the surface and some the threads are different. Let me know if ya find one, I've been using the Cole Foster Gas Tank piece of crap TWO-PIECE CAP for a year. Spray some silicone on the threads every couple of months as well as it will not want to come off after awhile! Great looking tank except for that!

Cole would probably try to help cause he's that kind of guy, but I think this is Custom Chrome's issue.

I've got a call into Cole, hope he has a solution. The silicone is a good idea, the threads are a bit sticky, also the rubber gasket has swolen.

His dad just passed, so don't be suprised/upset if he doesn't reply real quick in the next few days. He might be in Idaho at this time.

Amen, it is CC's issue but at best all CC will do is send him another substandard cap. I wasn't suggesting that Cole should or would dig into his own pocket to replace CC's junk. But I do think Cole will know of a higher quality replacement cap or another solution that will fix this problem for good.

And reasons like this are why CC went the fuck outta biz...
Kinda doubt Cole saw much dough for the tank, and one would guess he didn't actually manufacture the shit parts... My .02 |

Yeah, my vision is Cole has a high quality better mousetrap that he can recomend. You are right about Custom Chrome, the would be replacing the cap with one that would break in two days like the first one.
