Default OK Im lost Headlight wiring

I cut the wires to my head light when I just installed my new springer. I am attempting to wire it all to a switch I mounted to the housing ( off middle and on either side of off, on for low beam and one for hi).
I have a pos and neg coming from frame and 2 wires coming from light. I have tried every combination and have no head or tail light.
Any help or pics would be great.

well the ground goes to the frame not the forks... and power wire to the power.. then the switch should work.. rember Not unless you have changed it Brits are + ground....

I believe you have a double throw/double pole switch. Since it appears to be positive ground motorcycle...Brit I presume. The negative wire from your battery should run to the center pole (off). One wire from the light then attaches to one of the end "On" poles and the other light wire should attach to the other "On" pole. If the light does not come on, check to make sure you still have a ground between your light and the frame. You may have to run the ground wire to the light depending on how your light is mounted and sometimes the type of light or fork. Hope this helps.

Wow, a electrical problem, that WAS a electrical problem, and not a valve adjustment or carb causing it. Now, I have seen everything. Must be that negative positive thing.
