Go to wheels through time and see their homemade section. Lots of the stuff you are looking for.

Don't have a picture but I saw a Henderson 4 that had been converted for aircraft use. The transmission was cut off , a hub was mounted on the crankshaft for the prop. I know not Harley .

There was a whole set of plans in the '20s to build a light plane with a JD engine. The guys from antique Cycle Supply used to have one. I think "Easyriders" did an article on it.

Heath Henderson, my Dad had one. I remember seeing an opposed cylinder Harley type engine called the Long-Harlquin I believe. Homemade cases and Harley cylinders. Lippy

How about a Sporty motor/trans in a gocart? Would the short tires make it quicker, or give it more top end? Hmmm, there's an Ironhead in the classifieds...

Back in high school buddy my Smiley worked for a farmer for a month one summer, his payment was a Henderson 4 that was hooked up to a grain elevator. It had a rod through the block and 35 plus years later it still has a hole in the block.
