From my almost 1000 mile round trip I found out a lot about my flatty.. runs like a watch and was more reliable than most bikes cannot ask for more.. but the springer was twitchy, tired me out and genuinely tried to bounce me off the road.
Bought some great trees which are designed around early pan with the -2 degree rake and 10 over tubes. This is the end result. Bike feels more stable and much nicer to ride at the 70+ mark where I need for highways in the UK. Apes may need to be smaller.. 16" is a lot of ape. Pics attached! |

you did good
its clean both ways - I get the small tank but 50 miles is short for me when I am enjoying the day and the ride - but I get it

thanks guys!
Rode another 100+ miles since posting, wideglide is a dream it's such a lovely bike to ride now. Handles and rides much more comfortably, and I feel more confident at speed! |

Wait, so you have a 19" front and rear? Does your first pic above have a bit of fisheye distortion? 'Cause to me, the front wheel looks like 17" or conceivably even smaller than that.
Not an ugly or suboptimally functional (far as I know) choice of sizes, I'm not saying that. Just ... unusual looking. J.r. |
