Cool Norton Commando 1971 & Up Project

I'm wanting to build a Commando and am looking to buy a frame or basket case that is a 1971 or later to start on my journey of Commando ownership.

Without selling a few of my other bikes and scores of parts, mostly Triumph and BSA, I figure to pay as I go and start with a frame and or a basket case.

No cut up frames, they must be stock or as they left the factory.

I am in Central Vermont and somewhere in the New England area and Eastern NY would be preferred.

Cool Re: Norton Commando 1971 & Up Project

I now have a frame, gas tank and drum brake forks on the way. Still need everything else...wheels, swing-arm and plates, engine and transmission and other bits.

Right now, I am looking for swingarm and cradle as well as a 19" rear wheel to make this a roller.

Cool Re: Norton Commando 1971 & Up Project

Good to go for the project as I found a fairly complete 1971 basketcase minus engine and sheet metal.

Still need front and rear fenders and looking for steel Roadster gas tank.

I'm still looking for some decent front and rear fenders for a 1972 Commando

I strongly suggest joinin the INOA (you aren't far from the upcoming rally) and any other Norton groups ya can manage. The community has some VERY useful knowledge the manuals don't cover, and the rallies are outstanding.
