Of course the motor got built from the sludge trap up, with Hepolite pistons, new stock bore cylinders, new main bearings, mushroom tappet adjusters, new valves+guides etc.




The transmission got the same treatment; bearings, bushings etc.

Here is the custom tooled leather saddle, with a boxing kangaroo, Aussie flag, and a Eureka flag. Pure Aussie love.


Ceramic-coated right-side high-pipes


Timing the cams and magneto…ignore the fact that my wheel is upside down J the numbers are the same.


I should have done this a long time ago. Dan boy inspired me to try my hand a zinc-plating. After a bit of a rough start, the results have been brilliant! This saves me from the time and expense of ordering new or re-plated bits.


This is a pic of the cable barrel being plated that I had to modify, for the cable to work with the larger Brit lever.

Dan I assume those zinc plated parts then need to be highly polished, so do you have any 'after polishing' pics?

It depends on the finish you are after. Here is a tool I made to open the rocker box covers, which is highly polished, and the next pic is the re-plated motor hardware (acorn nuts on rocker boxes are new chrome) which is more dull, like cad plating.
