Hi guys long time watcher, sporadic poster here. Just found an old molded frame on eBay & thought to myself "I think that's a radoff". No markings, not insanely priced, located not even 15 miles from his old shop in Detroit MI ... so I jumped at it. Just got an reply back yesterday from the man himself - YEP.It's one of his. I'm over the moon about it- but I'm not knowledgeble about BSA's at ALL (at least not yet..)
Been googling images of the A50/ A65 duplex frames, A7/A10 preunit frames, engine plates, etc- I think it'll take an a50/a65 unit engine but I'm not 100% and not quite sure about engine plates & the like- the duplex frame seems to mount on either side of the frame basket area and this has the single seat post on the chassis..
anyway, id anyone with some knowledge on the subject can chime in based on the mounts on this aftermarket frame & stuff would be a gigantic help as I start on this journey to get this sexy thing back on the road and learning a ton along the way . Thank you & hope you enjoy the pics

That looks like A65 to me. Stock used two sorta crescent shaped plates at the rear motor mount.

That is just so cool, wouldn't it be nice to find a picture of the bike back in the day.

Thinking about doing a build thread on here over the winter so keep me working in this thing. Ended up finding a BSA A65D engine on Craigslist in Grand Rapids MI that's turns over and has compression, snagged it for 250 bucks! This has been a killer vacation but my wife's wondering how we're going to fit all this stuff in the car back to PA. I've been asking around, to Sam Radoff, and also John Kelly and Brent Farlie, who are experts at old AEE / street chopper magazine (frame started as an aftermarket AEE frame) etc but so far no luck with any pics of the bike from back in the day. Keep your eyes peeled!

Give sandy_aka_jake a yell on instagram he was a pro photographer for various bike mags and he shot alot of rad bikes in the 70's .He just might have a clue as he did coverage of Sam's bikes .

sorry maybe I wasn't clear there...I did contact him. He doesn't have any photos of it. He lamented not having taken pictures of all his work back in the day & wished he'd have snapped a shot or two of all the bikes

Unfortunately he couldn't tell me much. He knew he painted most of it (not the mural) and did the fab work but couldn't tell me much more than that. He mentioned painting so much stuff back then, stuff came in & went out the door so much that a lot of it's a blur & he didn't take many photos. I'll keep hunting for pics!

This is so cool!! I love a speed egg, but curiosity always hits me and I wonder if you could fit a T120 or ironhead in there.

Either way congrats on the find
