Default 45 Flathead information

Hello All,
I had a good friend pass away a couple years ago and just this week his wife asked me to help sell a softail deluxe that he had and he also had a 45 Flathead that she knows I want. Don't know much about it but I've been searching it's titled a 58 M/C it has a G engine so I know it's from a servi-car. Frame and the springer front looks to be in good shape. It's missing the carburetor but I know he had it started about 4 years ago. I'm sure the carb is laying around somewhere.
Don't know how much to offer her. I'm going to try and post some pictures and any information would be appreciated.
Thanks Bubba

Thunderbird that's some good reading thank you. Slow on a 45 Flathead suits me just fine.

TROG has really pushed up 45 prices in the past couple of years. If you broke it down and sold it as parts you are looking at around $7000. I'm basing this on what I see on the buy/sell forums. As it sits, it would probably bring $3500-4000, maybe more if someone really wanted it.
Regards,
Hank

Kind of attractive bunch of WL parts for sale today on vft.org. (Don't know if you're in the market for any such stuff.)
