Guy, got my Issue 7 yesterday, thanks.

However, as the Kurgan began, I have something to say.

Firstly I was very surprised at seeing the feature on the BSA as this bike had been featured in last month's British bike mag 100% (the usual british shite someone said I believe). These things happen of course but just to let you know, in case you didn't.
Secondly, there is a duplication of a photo in one of the shoots. Again, these things happen, not that important? Well, I disagree having bought the mag from Issue One, the thing that thus far has separated it from other custom magazines (apart from Dice mind, but that has its own quirkiness as well as what follows), is the fact that is shot beautifully, the covers are great, the layout is lush and the featured vehicles are as cool as a cool thing.
But hey, what do I know?

Oh and if the free BSH sub offer is still up after mine runs out I'll have it please, thanks.

Mate, I'm genuinely disappointed that you're disappointed. I try and make the mag the very best quality I can with the resources I have, and would never knowingly run something that was in another mag.

I'm confused though; did you mean that there's a duplicated shot in GK (because I've looked 10 times and can't find one, so please enlighten me) or the same shot in the Brit bike mag and GK?

If the same shots of the BSA have appeared in another mag, let me know. I apologise and will look into how and why it occurred ...

guy is a stand up dude
who couldn't know about the 100% biker story
and neither did i .....although i'm responsible for building the bsa C11
and own it ....
it was a present by my photograver ...who wanted to surprise me
i didn't know and neither did guy ......so don't blame him !! please

the bike was also asked for other great magazines .....but i told them it was already in the GK so i didn't send them the story or any pics for that matter
guy was the first to ask and i was in heaven ......so he got the story ......and i thought he was the only one who got it .

all i can say is sorry to guy !!

cheers philip

Guy, to be honest I didn't think for a second you would have run something that was already in print, judging by the content of the issues so far, hence the surprise, and hence mentioning it.
I've seen this kind of thing happen quite often in mags where contributors aren't always as honest, but you have the builder on here telling you the way he saw it and it was so fair enough.
So don't be too disappointed because I'm not.
Best add a question to your contributor grilling list though, eh?

The duplicate pic is the rear shot of the 'shotgun' pipes on the evo chop, its on page 27 and 28. Can't help it, I have proofers/pedants/pain in the arse eyes {delete as applicable} :-)

I always check with contributors that material isn't appearing elsewhere, but occasionally there are 'misunderstandings'. I just hope there was enough other cool stuff in the mag to keep you occupied.

And that dupe shot is a bummer: sounds like I need a proper proofreader! (I always spot the typos when it's in print, too, never when it's on screen ...). In my defence, I spotted two dupe shots in a very well known biker rag last week next to each other on the same page and they're professionals! (I won't embarrass them by naming the mag here).

Anyway, I cna't promise it won't happen again, but I'll do my damndest.

No worries Guy :-)

I could probably produce a whole magazine of errors alone spotted in other mags in print, don't worry about that!

Tell you what, send me that '46 Knuck in there, and we'll be square. :-)

Guy

... Keep doing what you're doing .. GK is the best out there!

Since moving to Dubai (that's right ... Du .. fucking .. bai!! ) 3 months ago- the GK is one of the few things which keep me sane ... and the fact that I'm earning enough wedge to spend on more chopper parts and parts for my 54 FL restoration ...

GK rocks!

In case you didn't see the disclaimer on the website .... we're in Europe right now shooting some stuff, so all current orders will be shipped on around 10 October.

If you don't want to wait for the GK shop to re-open, there are plenty of great retailers (some on this board) who have what you need right now...

Randy Smith - the same Randy Smith who built the Magnums out of WLAs and all the CCE bolt-ons?

Issue 8. The perfect metallic, greasy, thrilling antidote you need to the cloying wholesomeness of this very-nearly season of goodwill.

Choppers from the Netherlands, Japan, Italy, UK & USA. And Irish Rich is back! What more could you ask for Christmas?
