Thanks 'trash!

I have a bit of time off next week so I'm going to try running the tank by the painter.
Still changing things that I'm not fuzzy about. Changed bars again... went with plain ol' drag bars this time. The ergos are better, and they seem to add a bit of attitude. I've never been a huge fan of drag bars but, like the sporty tank, they fit this build pretty well. I bought a pair of $20 for mock up, now I have to find some with better chrome (or stainless) that have the same dimensions.
Hopefully, the next time I post on here it will be pics of a freshly painted bottom feeder and not so mundane shit.

I gave in. I'm letting the pianter have his way with it. I'll have a little input of course, but it'in his hands. He came up with something that I think will not kill the rest of the bike.

I like that Steve is keeping me in the loop, I think he could tell that I'm still apprehensive about the whole idea of painting it anything other than a solid color. In the end, I basically told him the stuff I wasn't fond of and let him go at it. I still feel a bit nervous about the whole thing tho... I think I just got used to seeing it bare metal (and rust) and it sort of became part of the bike.

Love the lines. I am currently painting, can I ask what type of paint you are using?

Thanks, Dan.

So far all HOK, fine mettalic. I'm pretty sure it's all going to be HOK stuff. When it's done I'm sure he'll give me a run down of everything. I'll post it here for you Dan.

That be the Steve.
I'm not worried in the least about his ability to turn this puppy nice.... I'm just having trouble coming to grips with it being anything but nekkid. The whole build fron the start has been about character and little stuff as opposed to the flash. We came up with something I think will add to the bike without being overwhelming. Even tho the tank is a little 2.5 peanut, it looks a bit big on the bike and I think a solid color would have made the tank even more of a focal point. I'm pretty exited to see it done, I'm just a bit.... nervous.
Steve's good people, I know it would bother him way more than it would bother me if it didn't work.

By the way, I really dig your shit. I've been watching your posts and your blog for a while now. My daughter (the artist in the family) loves the pic of the two cows.
