Wow, this is one of the cleanest non assuming bikes I have ever seen. Such a mild custom, I bet it gets passed over by the masses. The ones that stop and look will be knocked over. I know I would be.

Unreal.

so this thing ended up making 71 HP with the stock bore/stroke. I am very pleased with that. Some of the guys at the shop think that it could hit 80 but it needs a few more miles before it really gets beaten on. you can see that the power kept rising

Wow, bike looks great and the dyno sheet says it runs awesome aswell.
Would you mind giving a run down of the engine mods?
I know 505 cams but where the heads flowed?
What ignition are you using?
I've done a bit of dyno tuning on ironheads and that 71HP # is amazing for a stock bore and stroke.
On all the ironheads I've done the power always drops off after 6 K, what do you atribute your 6K and up #'s to?
I know the later ironheads (80's)cyl head ports were huge compared to the earlier ones.

thanks

Like you said, I am running the 505 cam which is a good horse power cam
the heads are dual plugged and have baisley XLR 1.935" int/1.75" exh valves and they were not flowed, but they probably flow around 240fps. I also found a set of S&S valve springs to go with them
TRW 10.5:1 pistons
it also has a Dyna S ignition, set up for single fire
S&S super E with a thunderjet

I forgot to mention the heat coatings, which may be the most important contributing factor. the bike noticeably runs cooler. they think that freed up at least 5 or 6 hp. I wouldn't ever do another engine without it
