Default Just Another Panhead - Primo's '52 build thread

I haven't been around in a while due to playing with Japanese bikes for the last coupe of years. Picked up a couple of old American basket cases, 52 Pan and 40 Knuck, and thought I would swing back by. First build is going to be the 52, nothing fancy here just aiming for a straight-forward 60's style cruiser to bomb around on. This bike will be alot of firsts for me so I'm just going to dive right in.

Just getting started, OE Wishbone frame and a repop bigtwin springer. (The cars in the background belong to my buddy I'm sharing the shop with.)

I was supposed to go pick up the rest of the parts from Vegas this weekend but the transmission in my truck decided it was done. It'll be slow updates until I get down there in January for the rest of the bike.

Looks like a great start man. Assuming you are going with some 3 1/2 gallon tanks with the tank mounts still being on the frame. Either way...a great platform

Thought I would update this one too!

Been hamfisting my way through this Panhead build for my dad off and on for a while now.

This is my first complete engine and trans teardown so alot of new ones for me. The trans I picked up is a later model with a long shaft, I've got a early shaft on the way so I can run the tin primary. Spent the morning tearing down the trans following an old 4 speend video for the swap:
