Default Triumph gone bad.

Here is the break down.

1964 frame, 1982 750cc left side 5spd motor.

5 wires total with a Joe Hunt magneto. Topped off with a Morris Mag adjustable timing mag cover.

Twin Mikuni VM round slide carbs.

My fearless chopper has been running flawless for 3 years.
Today, rode 10 miles and stopped for a drink. Started up the bike again and it was limpy, lumpy bad. I played with the plug wires and still nothing? Rode the bike home and it is aweful. At lower rpm's the bike jumps and lunges wildly. As if it goes from 1 cyl to 2 cyl and back to 1 and so on and so on.
NO back fire but it pops and farts from the left side of the bike as i lunge down the road????????????

Timing - check that nothing's loose in there, such as the points cam!

A better description for my issue is. When i ride slow the rpms are jerking in and out just like a screwed up lawnmower. Hp is going up down up down up down.

Lucky i got a spare belt - somewhere.

PROBLEM SOLVED. Some jackass thought he could ride home at night with the left side choke, choked. Don't motor about with your choke engaged.

Nice bike. How did you get that front end on that frame??? Isn't that an OIF front end? Am I wrong or isn't there a difference with pre oif and oif front ends. Sorry if I missed something.

Bike is looking great man! How long have you had it painted like this? I ran into someone a little over a year ago in Howell on a copper/orangeish Triumph chop.
