Default 06 sportster riser problem

hey guys,

my risers (short w/ top clamp) arent square with the triple tree. there is just enough room in the hole for the riser bolts for them to "move". my friend who is a retired HD mech said there isnt enough room in the hole for bushings which he said would probably solve the problem. i took the stock abortion riser/speedo off years ago and dont recall there being bushings. anyone know a solution? or had this problem? i loosened the riser bolts enough to straighten it out, and then we evenly tightened them back up but they are still not right.
