Default nosecone differences ?

can somebody school me on nosecones ? what are the different styles and applications ? how do you tell them apart ?

I may be able to help here, insofar as the Evo shit is concerned, mostly thanks to Jesse.

Bottom-breathing Evos (to '92) have a pipe that sticks off the cone into the cam chest. Head breathers ('93 on) don't have the pipe that sticks off the cone. You can see it a mile away - if you set the cam cover down on a flat surface, the head-breathing ones will lay flat, the bottom-breathers cannot lay flat due to that pipe.

Can anybody school me on why some end oilers have a plate tack welded inside and some do not? My stock 78 has no plate... Replacements to fit the same year do.... -70A vs -70????
