Outstanding.

I know it has to be a pain in the ass to translate but, can you tell us what was causing the drag on the motor and how ya fixed it?

Drag in the motor may because the motor shut down for too long time,i changed the primary drive oil for three times, there still have much dirty and rust in the primary case,i also disassembled the trans for three times.

Wow!

Awesome build!

I've been working in BJ for almost 7 years and i know how expensive HD-parts in China are ...

Tehre are some Dealers around in Shanghai and Beijing but they mostly wanna sell whole bikes rather than getting into the spareparts Business.

Only Chance once in a while is to get repop-parts from Taiwan ...

Thumbs up for such a cool Project!

I live in Jersey, but I lived in Shanghai for 3 years before I moved back. I'll be in Shanghai later this year for about 2 months, so if you feel like riding your bike down to SH, I'll buy you a drink

Anyway, much respect, I didn't think building a chop in the PRC was possible with all the restrictions; I can only imagine the struggle with getting parts, and after you're all done riding the thing around illegally haha.

I've seen some Zero bikes and other pretty slick chops in Shanghai, but sadly, the dudes that own them are usually either 土豪 (rich assholes) or 富二代 (young spoiled rich assholes); so I never talked to them. Good to see some home build stuff going on in China. If you ever need parts; I'll smuggle some in for you

sure i know - i wasn't reffering to engine parts but to aftermarket parts like light, seat aso.

i have been converting those local chang jiangs and did about 15 custombikes within my stay in BJ

most of the parts i used (rims, grips, seat, even tyres) where imported by myself when i came back to BJ from Business trips to Germany

i was the first - back in 2011 to convert the skinny 19" wheels with 16" HD rims and 5.00 x 16 rubbers

for the last 2 customs i used local chinese truck-tyres - all other tyres (AVON and SHINKO) where handcarry imported from Europe

didn't want to hijack your thread just to Show that customizing is possible even in China

the local HD Shops like you listed where always too expensive for me
