About a decade ago, I decided to turn in my Triumph and slow down a bit. I figured that Harley was a good choice since I used to pass them all the time. While this is just to the point where it is ridable, it does have a long way to go. Since I am pretty much semi-retired (I drive for a commercial greenhouse) I have a few months a year to myself. So, I got bored and found a rolling basket case. About a year or so later, I had this to putt around on.

If anyone is curious, I will do a thread on what few pictures I have from the build. There is quite the story behind it.

Just an opinion, but I'd find a stock seat for that one, and just ride the hell out of it, WT Buffalo.

I agree, a sprung seat on a swingarm bike looks goofy

Anyone remember a gold rigid early Sportster with a low mount peanut tank, white scallops and very skinny wheels (maybe 21's) from quite early in this thread? Total 60's appearance. Pics deleted? Thanks for any help. -Bruce

stratocaster- I believe the bike you're talking about is the first version of the one Bill Mize built. Nifty little bike, even though the 21/21 combo has never really done it for me. He built a red one, as well, that is one of my all time favorite Sporties.

I don't have time to post up a pic right now, but google Bill Mize sportster.

Thank you spent! That's the one. I've been trying to find pics of that Sportster for quite a while. So many great bikes in the Bill Mize search.

I don't like sporties, mainly cause of their size and my size difference. I make them look like a bear riding a bicycle....

That said, I do like that one. Cool little chop ya got there.
