Default Another question on voltage regulator location

We're fab'ing a custom exhaust for my trike project that runs front the front exhaust pipe down between the front legs and then runs it aft under the primary. It takes out the traditional location for the voltage regulator.

The regulator needs air flow, and I have lots of places that can give it that. The question I have is are there any issues with long leads (wires) that will be needed to locate it somewhere else (Impedance problems etc.) or am I ok as long as I get it in the wind.

wire length will not matter, just use same gauge wire.
