Default Hardtail kits for a shovel?

So after some back and forth I've decided to cut the frame on my 78 shovel and hardtail the bastard.

Im keeping the original vin and going with a hardtail kit.

Im leaning towards the mk50 from voodoo vintage. Pretty straight forward install and doesn't require a jig.

Before I pull the trigger I'm reaching out for any advice (first build first hardtail) or other recommendations on a hardtail set up.

I'd like to keep the total cost low, I'm doing the work myself.

Also if anyone has any photos of a mk50 installed and restored I'd love to seem them.
