just wondering if you can use 45 tappet blocks (screw type) in early UL engines using the UL screw down valve covers? are they the same?

I have wondered what else if any will interchange. I know very little about flatties.

Im pretty sure they will interchange, but not positive. Hopefully somebody on here has already done this. As far as other parts Jaws, I think maybe the scavenge and feed oil pumps. Maybe distributor? Thats about all I can think of....

Those were the only parts I knew of too. The lifters, look like they will. I was checking them out on a 45 and UL yesterday. I didn't have them out to check measurements..
