Default Lame Intro...

Hi. This is my second post. In my first post I disagreed with someone, so I figured I'd better hurry up and post an intro too.

Lurked for months. I dig bikes.

Bought my first bike in 2004, a Sportster, rode it for the first time, back to work, 6 weeks to the day, after having heart bypass surgery at age 33.

Anywho, 34,000 miles later.....

I have mildly chopped/bobbed it. As much as you can do to a bike that still has stock rake/stretch and swingarm.

I am making up for that though. I am 10 months into a build. Started with a set of Ironhead cases and a title. Probably won't be done until spring (hopefully).

Man these things take some cash eh?

I didn't have any tools before I started either, so I am working on that as I go too.

Nobody probably reads this far anyway....so I'll post some pics....

Welcome dude! I am pretty much in the same boat as you. I started with a 2005 Sporty and got hooked on them. Last week I got my second bike-a 74 ironhead. It runs great but leaks like a sive. Got some parts on order so I will be making some changes soon and getting the leaks fixed up. Good luck to ya and post some pics of that ironhead build! Looks like it will be bad ass!

I suppose it is a doo-rag. Technically it is a Makers Mark bandana that is sun bleached from red to almost pink.

I know they are taboo in the uber-cool crowd.

I don't wear a helmet, I don't have a windshield, I ride 70 mph most of the time (50 miles a day).

I have tried to ride without it, cause I really want to be the "true cool". When I get to work my "number 2 all over buzz cut" is standing up on end all over my head.

It is really too bad that those "posers" adopted the "doo-rag" as standard wear. I find it a necessity.

I don't stand around with it on...
or go into bars wearing it...
or wear one behind a windshield (that I don't own)

Starting in October I switch to a sock hat.

I am so cool, I don't care how "uncool" it is....now that is cool (IMO)

Although your question was relatively simple and could have been answered with a simple "yes", I suppose you really meant something more by it, hence my response.
