I sold my '67 Triumph and picked up this sweet swingarm Shovel off my good friend Tom. We spent two weeks going over the entire bike and made a few mods. Many thanks to Tom for the work and introducing me to the art of jockey shifting. I am hooked. He even allowed me to bust my jockey shift cherry on his righteous '51 Pan.

Welcome to the JJ. Now lets see some more pics of those sweet rides.
P.S. that sissy bar is begging for the ax.

I have heard this from many people and agree. The sissy bar is coming off after Pan Stock III.

personally, i think that the fender struts should get ax'd too.....just a thought. it'd look a LOT cleaner, and still have the cushion of that swingarm!

Welcome! I am going to experiment with a jockey shifter on my Pan too. Is there any way you have a close up picture of the Jockey set up on your friend's Pan?

couldn't have gone to a nicer guy, and such a nice ass too! it was some good therapy to reincarnate that bike after what it'd been through; its got the good mojo again...
and for the love of God, lose that backrest! |

Welcome, great looking ride Tom must be a really good friend to let you ride his old girl.
That looks like one of Trent's oil tank. Last edited by Galaxie500XL; 06-27-2007 at 11:21 PM. |

well I'm a FNG here myself - but welcome to the board ! -there is alot of knowledge with this group with minimal BS (these guys will weed them out)
I have a '60 Panhead with jockey shift(a Snap-on ratchet handle)on my ratchet shift 4 speed-you get some real weird looks a stop lights with your dry clutch making "farm equipment sounds" & scaring the hell out of them cagers |
