It's a Henderson but I didn't personally know the guy.

You Sir.... Are Correct.

Custom 1930 Henderson ‘Streamliner’

Henderson produced 4-cylinder motorcycles from 1912 until 1931. They were the largest and fastest motorcycles of their time, and appealed to sport riders and police departments. Police favored them for traffic patrol because they were faster than anything on the roads. Henderson was a Chicago brand and one of the American ‘Big Three‘ (with Harley-Davidson and Indian). The company began during the golden age of motorcycling, and ended during the Great Depression.

The art deco influence is obvious; legendary automotive designer Harley Earl could have drawn those curves. It’s all the more unusual because the mechanicals are hidden: even at the height of the Art Deco movement, most motorcycles were a triumph of form over function, with exposed cooling fins, brake drums and suspension springs. The bike is owned by collector Frank Westfall of Syracuse.

That bike's been around a long time and there are a hundred threads on a hundred different sites, discussing it. However, I've never seen the naked pic. I always assumed there was a stock Henderson underneath. Very interesting. For a second, I thought it was Howard Forrest's home built, four cylinder scooter that was the inspiration for the Mustang

I think that considering the Henderson streamliner was built over 75 years ago, it's an amazing accomplishment. Art-deco styling in the highest degree. Looks kind of timeless to me. It might look funny to some people now, but I wonder how some of our two wheel creations will look to people in 75 years if any of them survive.

I'm with you. "Trilogy" is just too much killer.

THAT'S IT!!
I knew there was something about that bike that just didn't look right, but the build is so subtle that I couldn't put my finger on it.
Thanks
