Default Wanted: recommendation for shop or person who can handle finishing a bike

Hello all,

I have an old Sporty Ironhead that is sitting in a chopper shop in Dayton, Ohio. They are not comfortable finishing the engine (a de-stroked Ironhead) and I want to finally find a place or person to finish this work.

The bike has been sitting for at least a year. The engine needs to be buttoned up, but it is all in one piece (mocked up). The engine has never been started but is newer. New cylinders, newer heads, new internals, new crank, etc. etc.). But I need someone who is comfortable with Ironheads. That is about it.

Ideally, this person or place will be: 1) near Chicago, Illinois (or near Joliet or Mokena); 2) near San Antonio, Texas (or near New Braunfels); 3) near Washington, DC. These locations are easiest for me to deal with logistics.

I am looking for recommendations. There is no urgency here, but I really do want to get this done. Please reply to this thread or send me a DM.

This is all legit, I can provide pictures, have a video chat, etc. etc.

Thanks...

-D

If I have done this right, I am attaching a picture of the mocked up chop as it sits. So far I have one recc, and I am very grateful. Any others?

Thanks!
