Default High pipes / ram horns for pre-unit ironhead swingarm Triumph?

I'm looking for a set to modify a little. I've been told the alloy head TR6 ones don't fit the ironhead correctly. Is there an option out there, for ironhead swingarm?

Tr6 (second pic)

As for fit, the stock right side down pipe (E3350) was used on the '55 5T, 6T, and T110, which were 4 and 5 fin cast iron heads. That same pipe was used on the same '57 models where the 6T head was iron and the T110 head alloy. The E3347 is the left down pipe for both the '55 and '57 T110. (different left down pipes for dynamo and alternator models)

The pipes on the TR6 in your 2nd picture, according to David Gaylin's Bonneville & TR6 restoration guide, first became available on US market bikes in 1960. (though the bike in the pic looks like a '58 or '59.) I have a '56 TR6 that came to me with a set of those head pipes on it with shorty mufflers. They had rubbed marks into both the timing and primary covers, though I'm 90% sure it was because they were poorly mounted and not because they didn't fit right. The pipes are still hanging in my garage.

I sure wish someone would repop the old MCM Rams horn pipes in the 3rd pic they are the nicest looking exhaust system for a triumph.

Thanks for all that info Mother!

I would love a set of thick-walled American or British made ones for sure.
