It looks like it's triangulated enough and if he's tested it I'm sure it will work jus fine. Maybe you are not seeing that center tube supporting the whole thing.

Alright so my old lady doesn't really like me doing anything that doesn't involve her but I have been sneaking every so often and working on it for a couple hours and just tell her I worked late. 1 day a week usually is my allowance, meh.

anyways, so I've got it all wired, built some pipes, re did the fender ( mounting it to the swingarm), made a key switch bracket/ electrical, changed the rear tire, etc.

Got it running and its so loud! I still got to weld in quite a few gussets still. fab a brake light, license plate bracket, waiting on threaded bungs for my shocks, mount the seat, top motor mount, finish weld and small shit and then chrome and paint.

Enough talk, here are some pictures:

That fender mount is a nice improvement. The bike looks good.

Alright so yesterday i mounted the fender, taillight/ license plate, coils, and made a top motor mount.

The petcock from my tank hits my top motor mount, so I put a sportster tank on their to see what it looked like. and man i think I might use it.

Took it for a ride yesterday and i did a double check of everything and took off and it rode awesome until i had to stop and had no brakes and i had to flintstone stop. I still have to move the ass of the seat down a bit...

Heres a couple more pics:

Let me know what you think about the tank change. I asked my mom and she wasn't psyched on it. haha.

I think I like the sporty tank. It just looks like it belongs there.

Looking good. both tanks look good on there, but if you go with the sporty tank try mounting it a bit further back on the backbone. Those pipes are killer!

I planned to, i just used the existing mounting hole from the other tank. hahaha, my mom said too much space between the seat and the tank.. she is right..

The sporty tank makes it look faster standing still. Nice bike.

Looks much better now. Keep the sporty tank. I get about 150miles or so to the tank on mine. At the beginning of the post I kept saying to myself "man he needs to mount that fender to the swing arm!".

Good job.

Well, it's been done for awhile....

I'm not too happy with it but it's mine so i'll take it.

I had to put the stock shocks on because the fully covered shocks didn't really function and it was super painful witht he forwards.

Then I had to cut the pipes down to clear the shocks and that sucked

My front st. fender broke off due to the mounting I had so i ran the new one instead.

Here are some pics, still have to make an axle for my 21" spoolie and that will look way better.

Here is a funny pic of my 15 month old daughter amelia going on her first motorcycle ride.

And here she is starting on 2 wheels.

Default Let it begin.. again.

Here is the original thread. https://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=48927

Lots of gay shit in there I wanted to start over with this thread.

Sooooo, there were some things, well a lot of things i didn't like but dealt with on my bike and the way I built the frame wasn't too well planned and seat placement wasn't ideal.

Alas, I want to build something I am proud of and is a display of my capabilities. So... all out I go and the reworking begins.

Here is what I got now, going to have a diff fender, and i diff seat. going to rebuild the frame again and I will have shit chromed and have it painted by one of you silly metal flake mofos.
