Default Triumph Pre Unit Clutch

Putting together clutch using unknown belt drive (BNR?) that came with abandoned project. Reading old posts a good upgrade was to junk loose roller bearings and replace with a sealed bearing, anyone got the spec's for this?.

Can you post a pic of what you have? If you are looking for a bearing, I doubt it is a BNR as they have the bearing built into the basket. but hey, you never know

thanks, yeah found your post on a Vorhese query about clutch plates. I thought the sealed bearing was an upgrade not particular to BNR, the belt drive basket I have is same thickness wall at back so will need to go with OE roller bearing setup.

I remember reading someone replacing the rollers with a sealed unit bearing.. the basket was either machined.. or a piece was "removed" by a press, I can't remember.. also the bearing was scorched from Grainger or McMasters..
I think this was done to a chain drive.. in an attempt to not drop the big $ for the belt setup but as a basic "up grade"...
Just wish I remember WHERE I read about this..
