Yup, it looks like polished aluminum. It does not blue with heat and if it gets scuffed, it can be polished back up with mother's polish. Also, it is warranted for life. I use this finish for every set of pipes I build, and it works well for brackets that you want to look good forever...

Can you give me your guy's info? I'd like him to do a set of pipes or two.

My source is JET-HOT Call them at 800.432.3379 and they will walk you through the process. I use the finish: "Extreme 1300, polished", if that helps. Here is a pic of a footrest bracket I made and had coated, to give a little better idea of the finish...

This is a whole different process than powder coating. its much harder and much thinner. I've had nuts and bolts done that worked fine (although tighter).

I had inquired at "jet-hot" several months ago. They were having "issues" with their on line submissions / inquiries...i wascinformed it had been "corrected", but I forgot to "re-submit".. I say this in case someone else has "issues" or don't hear back on a timely manner.
I had looked at "jet-hot's" ceramics when I read not only is the finish beautiful and durable.. but they coat the interior as well and the insulation was significant (pipe temps)
